Interactive conceptual installation, 2023
"Schrödinger’s Suitcase"
A conceptual exploration of existence, ethics, and observation.
This interactive conceptual installation reimagines Schrödinger’s famous thought experiment through the medium of a suitcase and a digital display. A framed contract on the wall invites viewers to engage with the piece. Upon opening the suitcase, a digital screen reveals one of two randomly generated messages: "Ed is Dead" or "Ed Lives."

Blurring the boundaries between science, philosophy, and art, Schrödinger’s Suitcase examines the role of observation in defining reality. The piece invites the audience to consider the ethical implications of their involvement, the delicate nature of existence, and the duality of states dependent on perception. The framed contract further emphasizes the observer’s responsibility in this act of discovery.
Through its minimalist yet profound design, Schrödinger’s Suitcase provokes thought about the unseen forces shaping our reality and the power of observation in determining outcomes. It is a playful, thought-provoking commentary on the paradox of choice and existence.
